MIG Welding Project Evaluation
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Safety Equipment	Poor Two or more of the following safety procedures violated; missing one of the following: welding helmet, welding gloves, sleeves down, welding curtain closed, leather footwear on.	Fair All but one safety procedure followed; missing one of the following: welding helmet, welding gloves, sleeves down, welding curtain closed, leather footwear on.	Good All safety procedures followed; welding helmet on, welding gloves on, sleeves down, welding curtain closed, leather footwear on.
Metal Preparation	Poor Sheet metal is cut, all edges are rough and sharp, none of the corners are rounded off and there is some paint or other finish remaining on the metal.	Fair Sheet metal is cut, but the edges are sharp with two or more corners sharp and hazardous, all paint or other finish removed.	Good Sheet metal has been cut, edges dressed, no sharp edges or sharp corners, all paint or other finishes removed.
Weld Quality	Poor MIG welder not set up properly, inconsistent welds or welds placed unevenly and/or metal pieces can be pulled apart by hand.	Fair MIG welder set up correctly, but welds are inconsistent and/or placed unevenly, metal is secure and cannot be ripped apart.	Good MIG welder set up according to directions, welds are consistent, in the correct location, and spaced to effectively attach the two pieces of metal, two pieces cannot be pulled apart.
