Insect Scrapbook Insect Scrapbook Students will use three large sheets of construction paper folded in half to create a book with a title page, five different insect profile sections with drawings/illustrations/photographs of the insect on one page and information about the insect on the facing page. 	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Title Page	Poor Title page is incomplete (book or author name missing) or contains many misspelled words. No illustrations are included.	Fair Title page is acceptable, with few misspelling of words (name of author and book are included) but contains no illustration.	Good Title page is complete and has no misspelled words but has few if any illustrations	Excellent Title page includes book title, author's name and colorful illustrations.
Insect Profile Pages	Poor Two or fewer pages contain assigned information - some words are misspelled.	Fair Three or fewer pages contain assigned information - some words are misspelled.	Good Five or less pages contain assigned information and few words are misspelled.	Excellent All five pages contain assigned information and no words are misspelled.
Insect Illustrations	Poor Insect illustrations are missing on four or more pages or are inaccurate representations of the insect.	Fair Insect illustrations are missing on two - three pages or are inaccurate representations of the insect.	Good One insect illustration is included for all five insects and are accurate depictions of the insect.	Excellent Two or more illustrations of the insect are used on all five pages for an accurate depiction of the insect.
Book Construction	Poor Student did not use correct materials to construct the book - book does not open or stay together properly.	Fair Student did not use correct materials to construct the book - book does not open or stay together properly. Most pages had been used as assigned and information is mostly complete.	Good Student used correct materials, book stays together, and book opens properly. Some pages are not used as assigned but all information is included.	Excellent Student used correct materials, book stays together, and book opens properly. Pages are used as assigned.
