Black History Picture Biography This rubric describes what I will be looking for when grading your final copy of your famous Black American's picture Biography Rubric Code: F283W5 By Annie07 Draft Public Rubric Subject: English Type: Project Grade Levels: K-5

Black History Picture Biography you and your partner create a picture biography to be read to pk-1st grade studnets
	Poor work is not up to standards, and will not recieve a passing grade 1 pts	Good Work will recieve a passing grade but could use improvements 2 pts	Excellent project is excellent and will receive the best possible grade 3 pts
organization is your book organized well, does it portray biographical information in a way young children will understand?	Poor Story is completely un-organized, it is hard to understand and unacceptable to use with younger children	Good Story can be used with younger children, but changes could be made to improve the organization of the information	Excellent Story is organized in the way that makes sense, young children will have no problem following the story line
Spelling and grammar here I will check final copy for spelling or grammatical errors	Poor there are more then 4 spelling or grammar mistakes in final copy	Good there are between 2 and 4 spelling or grammatical errors in final copy	Excellent there are between 0-2 spelling or grammatical errors in final copy
Creativity & Originality Did you organize and present information in a fun creative way the young children will find interesting?	Poor pictures are poor and text is uninteresting for young children	Good pictures are done well, but text is uninteresting	Excellent Pictures and text are portrayed in an original and interesting manner
Content Is the content of the biography relevant, does it include previously discussed criterion	Poor Final copy does not include all of the information needed for the biography	Good Final copy contains all of the information given in the earlier critera but nothing extra	Excellent Final copy contains all of the information nessecary and more
Age appropriate Is this a book that can be understood by children in grades pk-1	Poor language and format are too advanced for young children	Good language and format may be understood by some younger children but may be confusing for others	Excellent language and format will be understood and interesting to children of young ages
