CAPITALIZATION	THIS STINKS! Sentences do not start with capital letters. Names (if any) do not start with capital letters. There are EXTRA capital letters.	OK Some sentences start with capital letters. Names (if any) do not start with capital letters. There are EXTRA capital letters.	NICE WORK! Most sentences start with capital letters. Names (if any) start with a capital letter. There are EXTRA capital letters.	PERFECT! Every sentence starts with a capital letter. Every name (if any) starts with a capital letter. Titles are capitalized properly. There are no EXTRA capital letters!

I put a SPACE between each word. I stayed on the lines.	PERFECT! NEAT! I can read every word easily. My letters are the same size. I put a SPACE between each word. I stayed on the lines. Sentences Expresses a complete thought; no missing words; vocabulary use	THIS STINKS! I have more than 1 unfinished sentences. I have more than 5 missing words.	OK I have 1 or 0 unfinished sentences. I have 5 missing words. I used at least 1 vocabulary word in my sentences.	NICE WORK! Every sentence is finished. I have 3 to 4 missing words. I used at least 1 vocabulary word in my sentences.	PERFECT! Every sentence is finished. I have only 1 or 2 missing words. I used 2 or more vocabulary words in my sentences.
Complete Paragraph Includes 5-7 sentences.	THIS STINKS! I have 1-4 simple sentences	OK I have a topic sentence or a few detail sentences.	NICE WORK! I have a topic sentence and most of my detail sentences support the topic.	PERFECT! My paragraph is indented. I have a complete paragraph with a topic sentence, 3-5 detail sentences and a concluding sentence.
