Content	Excellent Content is well organized. It includes characters, events, plot, problem, solution and setting. The ending was thought out and at least six pages long.	Good Ending is generally logical and includes characters, events, plot, problem, solution and setting. The ending was thought out and 4 pages long.	Fair Ending is somewhat illogical and confusing. The ending is 3 pages long or less.	Poor Poorly organized. The ending is a page or less long. Ending in no way fits the story.
Grammar and Spelling	Excellent The student uses correct grammar, word order, spelling and punctuation throughout the whole narrative.	Good The student usually uses correct grammar, word order, spelling and punctuation for most of the narrative.	Fair The student makes frequent mistakes with grammar, word order, spelling and punctuation.	Poor Writer consistently makes errors with grammar, word order, spelling and punctuation.
Effort	Excellent The student fulfills the requirements of the assignment and has put care and effort into the process.	Good The student fulfills all of the requirements of the assignment.	Fair The student fulfills some of the requirements of the assignment.	Poor Assignment is incomplete.
Transition	Excellent The student accomplished a well-written, seamless transition.	Good The student attempt a transition but not believable.	Fair No connection to the original story.	Poor Assignment is incomplete.
