Rudiments	Excellent A wide variety of rudiments were used: flams, multiple/ double bounces, accents, paradiddles, rim work, rim shots etc.	Good Rudiments were used but they were repetative: flams, multiple/ double bounces, accents, paradiddles, rim work, rim shots etc.	Fair Few rudiments were found: flams, multiple/ double bounces, accents, paradiddles, rim work, rim shots etc.	Poor Only one or two rudiments were found: flams, multiple/ double bounces, accents, paradiddles, rim work, rim shots etc.

Flairs	Excellent The composer used vocal accents, visuals, choreography, body percussion or other flairs to make the piece more exciting to watch/listen to.	Good There too many flairs used in this composition or it left us wanting more.	Fair Flairs were used but not in an appropriate way musically.	Poor Flairs were either not evident or were used in a professionally inappropriate way.
Organization	Excellent All measures add up to the correct amount of beats and are legible/ easy to read.	Good Most measures add up to the correct amount of beats and are legible/ easy to read.	Fair Most measures add up to the correct amount of beats but it is hard to read. Some measures were split between lines and penmanship is poor.	Poor None of the measures add up to the correct amount of beats and it is virtually illegible.
Creativity	Excellent The composer obviously put a lot of thought into this. It may have a theme, be centered around a specific rhythm, have voice accompaniment etc.	Good The composer put thought into this but did not go for it 100%. It is interesting and written well.	Fair The composer put some thought into this but it was not consistent throughout the piece. There may be too much going on-too many themes.	Poor The composer put no thought into this composition. It is boring and lacks any creativity.
Presentation	Excellent This composition was performed with ease. It had been rehearsed and thought out.	Good This composition was obviously rehearsed but not for long enough. More time would have helped.	Fair This composition was not rehearsed before the day of the performance.	Poor This composition was sight read at the performance.
