Instruction & Concepts 14 pts Level of understanding about instructions and mask-making concepts used in project.	WOW! IMPRESSIVE! The mask is planned carefully; understanding of all concepts and instructions is clearly demonstrated.	DETAILED! GOOD WORK! The mask is planned carefully; understanding of most concepts and instructions is demonstrated.	MET CRITERIA. NICE EFFORT! The mask is planned adequately; understanding of some concepts and instructions demonstrated.	HAD A GO, BUT INCOMPLETE. The mask shows little evidence of understanding the concepts and instructions.	LITTLE EFFORT The mask shows no understanding of the concepts and instructions...but it is a mask.	LITTLE EFFORT AND IT SHOWS A project was turned in, but it is not functional as a mask.	NO EFFORT No mask was handed in.
Craftsmanship/ Skill 28 pts The control, adaptation, selection and experimentation in making a mask that reflects either a character from a Greek Tragedy, or an emotion of your own devising.	WOW! IMPRESSIVE! The mouth of his mask works as a functioning megaphone.	DETAILED! GOOD WORK! This mask is made out of a professional material such as foam, paper mâché, wire, etc.	MET CRITERIA. NICE EFFORT! This mask is so good that I can tell exactly what character it is.	HAD A GO, BUT INCOMPLETE. This mask is better than even he best paper plat variety.	LITTLE EFFORT This mask uses a paper plate, but as an ends to a means and not the final project itself.	LITTLE EFFORT AND IT SHOWS This mask is a paper plate on a string.	NO EFFORT This mask is a paper bag with holes cut out.
Creativity/ Originality 14 pts Inventiveness, expression of ideas and imagination portrayed in the construction of the mask.	WOW! IMPRESSIVE! This mask is so unique and awesome that I want to own it!	DETAILED! GOOD WORK! The mask demonstrates original personal expression and outstanding problem solving skills.	MET CRITERIA. NICE EFFORT! The mask demonstrates some personal expression and logical problem solving skills.	HAD A GO, BUT INCOMPLETE. The mask demonstrates an average amount of personal expression.	LITTLE EFFORT The mask demonstrates little personal expression and problem solving skills.	LITTLE EFFORT AND IT SHOWS The mask lacks evidence of personal expression.	NO EFFORT This mask is so generic that I believe I have seen it before.
Behavior/Effort 14 pts Work ethic; the time dedicated to the project inside and/or out of class.	WOW! IMPRESSIVE! The student put forth extraordinary effort to complete the project well as possible.	DETAILED! GOOD WORK! The student put forth more than enough effort required to complete the project well.	MET CRITERIA. NICE EFFORT! The student put forth above average effort required to finish the project.	HAD A GO, BUT INCOMPLETE. The student put less than average effort required to finish the project.	LITTLE EFFORT The student put forth little effort required to finish the project.	LITTLE EFFORT AND IT SHOWS The student put forth no effort.	NO EFFORT The project was not completed.
