Details	Poor Student displays minimal details about an event from American History.	Fair Student displays few details about an event from American History.	Good Student displays some details about an event from American History.	Excellent Student displays many details about an event from American History.
Research and Understanding	Poor Student did inadequate research. Student does not understand their own project.	Fair Student did some research but most information is not in their words. Student shows little understanding of their project.	Good Student did a lot of research and it is presented in their own words. Student shows a clear understanding of their project.	Excellent Student did significant research and it is entirely in their own words. Student demonstrates a deep understanding of their project.
Visuals	Poor Lack of effort is evident, not visually appealing. Product is not relevant to project.	Fair Student put some effort visuals, they are slightly appealing. The product is slightly relevant to the project.	Good Effort is evident in a visually appealing product that does not detract from the project.	Excellent The student went above and beyond to create a very visually appealing product that enhances the project.
Creativity	Poor Project uses only one art material.	Fair Project uses at least two different art materials.	Good Project uses at least three different art materials.	Excellent Project uses at least four different art materials, such as paper, plastic soldiers, clay, and paint.
Time limit	Poor Presentation is 2 minutes or less.	Fair Presentation is 3 minutes long.	Good Presentation is 4 minutes long.	Excellent Presentation is 5 minutes long or longer.
