NEATNESS Song Lyrics	Excellent Copy of lyrics is turned in, 0-2 spelling and grammatical errors.	Good Copy of lyrics is turned in with 3-4 spelling and grammatical errors.	Fair Many spelling and grammatical errors present. Marks on the paper.	Poor No paper or incomprehensible paper turned in.
CREATIVE Completeness of the written work: Does it Make Sense?	Excellent Words correctly describe the process completely and thoroughly in a unique manner. Students provide their own style in the lyric/writing of their song/poem.	Good Words correctly describe the process dealing with linear relations completely and thoroughly with a couple of mistakes.	Fair Words are incomprehensible and do not make sense. The words do not describe anything to do with linear relations.	Poor No creative thinking by the author. Copied paper or copied from another person, book or other written, spoken or taped work.
Length of Song How the Math Song was presented.	Excellent The song is 3+ verses long. The poem is 3/4 to 1 page long.	Good The song is two verses long. The poem is half a page long.	Fair The song/poem is only one verse long.	Poor The song/poem is only a couple of sentences long, and incomplete.
Content How long was the song	Excellent The song/poem clearly connects lyrics to content learned in class about linear relations. The students included 4 or more references to topics covered in linear relations unit. Students go above and beyond when explaining topics and ideas.
