Weld Uniformity 20 % Uniform width and thickness throughout the entire length of each weld.	Level 4 Bead is uniform width all along the length of each weld. Has a smooth appearance	Level 3 Bead maintains width and length. Shows some small blemishes along the weld	Level 2 Not a uniform thickness through out the weld. Thickness goes to extremes	Level 1 Weld is cut off in places, not uniform along the weld. Shows bare spots
Appearance 20 % The sstump has been deburred, ground, and polished	Level 4 The stump feels smooth throughout, there are no burrs, all the welds have been ground if necessary, all the spatter has been ground or chipped off	Level 3 The stump is mostly smooth throughout, there are a few burrs, most of the welds have been ground where necessary, most of the spatter has been ground or chipped off	Level 2 The stump is not very smooth, there are numerous burrs, very few of the welds have been ground, some of the spatter has been ground or chipped off	Level 1 The stump is not smooth, it has not been de-burred, none of the welds have been ground away where necessary, none of the spatter has been removed

Lid 20 % The lid of the stump fits properly onto the top of the stump, has a rim to locate it, and an axer attached	Level 4 The lid fits perfectly on top of the stump, and there is an axe attached	Level 3 The lid fits well on top of the stump, and the axe is attached	Level 2 The lid does not fit very well, the axe is barely attached	Level 1 The lid does not fit, and there is no axe attached
Axe 20 % The axe is proportionate to the stump, and the student used his/her design skills proficiently	Level 4 The axe is proportionate to the stump, and the design is creative	Level 3 The axe is somewhat proportionate to the stump, and the design of the axe is fairly creative	Level 2 The axe is not proportionate to the stump, and the axe design is not well thoughout	Level 1 There is no axe attached to the stump/there is no axe.
