Students are to chose a famous piece of art or one that speaks to them and paint a mural in the art room.

The student tries to dominate or distract others. Student contributes ideas to the overall design but is not always willing to listen to other ideas or to merge ideas with other students.

The student participates to the best of their ability and contributes ideas in a cooperative voice and manner. Student is willing to listen to other ideas and combine those with their own contributions.

The student paints with appropriate brush techniques but has to be frequently reminded of where and what to paint. The student needs reminding of craftsmanship / clean up habits and tasks.

The student paints cooperatively with the other students and makes every effort to paint in an appropriate manner to the mural. The student maintains their own work area with independence.

Student is usually on task but has to be reminded on occasion to stay focussed.

Student uses class time well and demonstrates a strong work ethic when it comes to art.
