Finding and Using Perimeter Students were given 3 polygons to identify as well as measure the perimeter of each. Rubric Code: ECWX2 By MariaBennett Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Math Type: Assignment Grade Levels: K-5

	Far Below 0 pts	Approaching Standard 1 pts	Meeting Standard 2 pts	Exceeding Standard 3 pts
Polygon Identification	Far Below Student was unable to identify any of the polygons correctly.	Approaching Standard Student was able to only properly identify one of the polygons correctly.	Meeting Standard Student was able to identify two of the polygons correctly.	Exceeding Standard Student was able to identify all of the polygons correctly.
Perimeter	Far Below Student was unable to find any of the polygon's perimeters correctly. Student did not use correct units.	Approaching Standard Student was able to find only one polygon's perimeter correctly. Student may or may not have used correct units.	Meeting Standard Student was able to find two of the polygon's perimeters correctly. Student may or may not have used correct units. (Student may also have gotten all perimeters, but was unable to use correct units).	Exceeding Standard Student was able to find the perimeter for each polygon and used the correct units for each.
Participation	Far Below Student had no participation in classroom activities and discussions. Student showed little or no clear understanding of polygon characteristics or concept of perimeter.	Approaching Standard Student had average participation in classroom activities and discussions. Student showed vague understanding of polygon characteristics or concept of perimeter.	Meeting Standard Student had average participation in classroom activities and discussions. Student had an adequate understanding of polygon characteristics or concept of perimeter.	Exceeding Standard Student had high participation in classroom activities and discussions. Student had a high understanding of polygon characteristics or concept of perimeter.
