Concluding Sentence

Making Progress
The concluding sentence meekly restates the topic sentence, and adding no summary, nor comment on the topic.
Proficient
The concluding sentence states the main idea again using mostly different works (than the topic sentence), summarizes the main points and attempts to add a final thought about the topic.
Excellent
The concluding sentence unequivocally states the main idea again using different works, summarizes the main points of the paragraph and makes a final comment or concluding thought about the topic.

The paragraph contains some spelling or grammatical errors. Errors that exist do not overly distract the reader.
Excellent
The paragraph contains few spelling or grammatical errors. Errors that exist do not prevent readers from understanding the details or the main idea.
