Art Portfolio Cumulative examples of all work.
	Level 4 Exemplary work at highest level of ability. (N/A)	Level 3 Good work, meets all criteria. (N/A)	Level 2 Adequate work, lacking in some areas (N/A)	Level 1 Unsatisfactory, work is inadequate and of poor quality. (N/A)
Content Based on portfolio required items.(line art, perspective building drawing, symmetry mask, emotional painting)	Level 4 All portfolio pages for art projects are included.	Level 3 Missing one project from portfolio. (Student may not have been here, but asked the teacher for supplementary work and/or completed it at a later date.)	Level 2 Missing two projects from portfolio.	Level 1 Missing three or more projects.
Artist Statement Written statement about the artist and work that includes: 1 - Why you created what you did. 2 - What you enjoyed/did not enjoy using to create it. 3.) Your favourite part about it.	Level 4 Portfolio includes a very expressive artist statement.	Level 3 Portfolio includes a thoughtful artist statement.	Level 2 Portfolio includes an artist statement.	Level 1 Portfolio does not include an artist statement.
Presentation Neat and creative presentation. (Title page - 4 corners : 1.Accrostic Poem 2. favourite tool, 3. favourite genre, 4. personal sketch of self)	Level 4 Portfolio shows ingenuity and creativity. Care was taken when compiling work.	Level 3 Portfolio shows some imagination and creativity. Care was taken when compiling work.	Level 2 Portfolio shows little imagination or creativity. Some care was taken when compiling work.	Level 1 Portfolio is lacking creativity. Student did not use care when compiling work.
Use of time and effort Amount of time and effort expended on the portfolio and its contents. (Is your work carefully done, or did you have to rush through it because you always ran out of time? ex. too much talking)	Level 4 Exemplary effort to complete the portfolio to best of ability. Made excellent use of class time.	Level 3 Good effort to complete required elements of portfolio. Adequate use of class time.	Level 2 Minimal effort used to create portfolio.
