Dance Routine Students are to create a dance routine in groups that is at least 2 minutes long. The routine needs to have a noticeable beginning, middle, and end. Ensemble (group is in sync)	Meeting The group performs the same movements all of the time. It is apparent they have rehearsed.	Beginning to Meet The group performs the same movements some of the time. It is somewhat apparent they have rehearsed.	Not Meeting The group seldom performs the same movements at the same time. It appears the group did not spend much time rehearsing.
Steady Beat	Meeting Movements are always in time with the beat of the music.	Beginning to Meet Movements are sometimes in time with the beat of the music.	Not Meeting Movements are seldom in time with the beat of the music.
Concentration and Focus	Meeting All group members maintain concentration and focus throughout the performance. Members are not distracted by each other or the audience.	Beginning to Meet Group members maintain concentration and focus some of the time.	Not Meeting Group members seldom maintain concentration and focus during the performance.
Explanation of Routine	Meeting Well written with no spelling or grammatical errors. Matches routine.	Beginning to Meet Some grammatical or spelling errors. Somewhat matches routine.	Not Meeting Paper has many spelling or grammactical errors and/or the explanation barely matches the routine.
Participation During Class Time	Meeting Group made effective use of class time by being on task majority of the time.	Beginning to Meet Group somewhat made effective use of class time but was sometimes off task.	Not Meeting Group did not make effective use of class time and was typically off task.
Costumes	Meeting The group is unified through their costumes.	Beginning to Meet The costumes do not all match and/or make sense. Ex. the song is really upbeat and the group looks dark and dreary.	Not Meeting Not all members of the group are wearing costumes.
