Locomotor Skills Different types of movement
	Developing Knows a little about movement but can not get a full grasp 3 pts	Improving Gets basic concepts but has not yet mastered 7 pts	Mastery Fully understands and can complete all parts of movement 10 pts
skip 10 pts A locomotor skill which combines a hop and a step (walk or run).	Developing Using wrong arms with legs and landing on different feet instead of the same foot.	Improving Got activity down but is not completely fluent.	Mastery Fluidly flows through all movements of skipping.
hop 10 pts A form of locomotion in which the body is projected from one foot to the same foot.	Developing Cannot balance on one foot on take off or landing.	Improving Hops mostly on one foot well but does not use the other foot as well or at all.	Mastery Can hop equally well on each foot.
run 10 pts A form of locomotion much like the walk except that the tempo and body lean may differ. At time one foot is on the ground and during a brief phase both feet are off the ground. There is no time when both feet are on the ground simultaneously.	Developing Rarely runs looking straight ahead, or at feet with little or no arm motion. Arms not moving correctly with legs.	Improving Moves correct arms with correct legs but looks around or down at feet at times. Arms and legs sometimes move together correctly.	Mastery Looks straight ahead while running and uses arms appropriately. Arms and legs move at same time in proper sequence.
gallop 10 pts A form of locomotion which is a combination of an open step by the leading foot and a closed step by the trailing foot. The same foot leads the whole time.	Developing Struggles with leading with the same foot.	Improving Sometimes leads with the same foot.	Mastery Always leads with the same foot and can do without concentration.
