Mechanical Engineering	Poor Mechanism (motion transformation system) absent from design	Fair Poor or inappropriate use of mechanism	Good Mechanism present but inefficient or does not work well with the design	Very Good Mechanism ties in well with the design but some improvements can easily be made	Excellent Mechanism ties in perfectly AND efficiently with the design of the gumball machine
Reasoning & Feasibility	Poor Reasoning (questions) are not answered.	Fair Reasoning present but shows a lack of effort and insight into the design. Necessary components are absent. Obvious flaws to design.	Good Reasoning present but does not reflect the design or is very inefficient. Necessary components are not all present.	Very Good Sound reasoning which reflects the design. Only a couple improvements can be visibly made.	Excellent Sound reasoning with visible insight gone into the design. Very efficient design with no visible problems or improvements to be made.
