Football Self Assessment
	Beginner 2 pts	learner 3 pts	Intermediate 3 pts	Advanced 5 pts
Rules of the Game	Beginner Student does not know what the rules of the game are after completing the football unit. Unsure of terms relating to rules.	learner Student has some fair knowledge of the rules. Student Knows the basics,most important rules of the game.	Intermediate Student knows most of the rules and is able to apply or make calls during game play.	Advanced Student knows almost all the rules. Can help teach others that don't know all the rules.
Patterns	Beginner Student does not know the passing patterns after completing the unit.	learner Student has some idea of the passing patterns but is unable to apply them in a game setting.	Intermediate Student knows the different types of patterns and can successfuly complete them.	Advanced Student knows different types of pass patterns and is able to assign and teach to players when in quarterback role.
Passing	Beginner Student may not take the initiative to learn how to throw the ball. Has a lot of trouble throwing the ball on target.	learner Student picks up the basic skills on how to pass but may have difficulty finding the target.	Intermediate Student passes the ball correctly most of the time. The student uses the correct passing technique.	Advanced Student passes the ball with proficiency. Able to pass to stationary and moving targets during game play
Catching	Beginner Student may not be able to catch the ball in a game setting or in a stationary setting.	learner Student can perform skill with some consistency in a non game situation and with no defenders present	Intermediate Student can perform the skill in a game situation when left ungaurded.	Advanced Student can combine catching with movement to avoid a defender
Position	Beginner Student doesnt know the different football positions after completing the unit.	learner Student knows some of the football positions.	Intermediate Student knows the correct positions for defense and offense and can list their responsibilities	Advanced Student knows the correct positions for defense and offense and can assign/explain roles to teammates.
