Weighing objects	Far Below Student pair randomly put cubes in one side of the pan balance and did not notice when the weights were heavier than the object being weighed. Students could not count the cubes. Student had to do the activity over with help.	Below Student pairs put cubes in one side of the the pan balance scale and noticed when the weights were heavier than the object and counted the cubes but was very inconsistent. Student had to do the activity over with help.	Proficient Student pairs were generally consistent in weighing the objects and counting the cubes. Two or three errors were made.	Advanced Student pairs correctly weighed the objects and counted the cubes most of/all of the time. One or fewer errors were made.
Ordering objects.	Far Below Student pairs needed help to line up the objects from lightest to heaviest. Students was not able to do the task alone.
