Student includes the names of all the main characters in his her retelling of the story.

Student includes the names of half of the main characters in his/her retelling of the story.

Student doesn't include the names of any main characters in his/her retelling of the story.
Problem/Solution
Good
Student includes the problem/solution in his/her retelling.
Fair
Student includes either the problem or solution in his/her retelling but not both.
Poor
Student doesn't include the problem/solution in his/her retelling.
Opinion
Good
Student give his/her opinion about the story and provides a reason for the opinion.
Fair
Student give his/her opinion about the story but does not provide reason.
Poor
Student does not give his/her opinion about the story.
