Main Character	Poor Student did not draw a picture of the main character. He or she may have draw too many details to tell who the main character was in the story.	Fair Student drew a character, but not the main character.	Good Student drew the main character in the story with little detail.	Excellent Student drew the main character with detail depicting character qualities in the story.
Mechanics/Spelling	Poor Writers shows little or no attempt to use punctuation or capital letters correctly. More than 4 word wall words or pattern words are misspelled.
