Newspaper - Writing
	Excellent (4-5) 5 pts	Good to Fair (2-3) 3 pts	Poor (0-1) 1 pts
Spanish	Excellent (4-5) This Spanish is totally appropriate for your level of study. It is clearly your Spanish with no outside influence or sources.	Good to Fair (2-3) This Spanish is either: A. Well over your head and shows signs of outside help. See me. B. Below average for the level you should be at.	Poor (0-1) This Spanish is... A. So far advanced it could not be your work. See me. B. Far beneath the average for your grade level. See me for tutorial help before submitting the final draft.
Message	Excellent (4-5) Your message is very clear and easily understood. Good word and phrasing choices. Makes perfect sense!	Good to Fair (2-3) Your message is confusing due to poor wording or phrasing. Makes some sense, but has problematic areas.	Poor (0-1) Your message is lost due to poor wording and/or phrasing. This makes little to no sense at all.
Development	Excellent (4-5) Your stories are well developed and elaborated. There are lots of details and you have taken risks in adding more than just basic Spanish.	Good to Fair (2-3) You have written complete stories, but could have elaborated more. I felt like there were details missing.	Poor (0-1) You have written only basic information. These stories leave much to be desired as far as details are concerned.
Tenses	Excellent (4-5) The tenses for your verbs are well chosen and seem to be used correctly. No major problems.	Good to Fair (2-3) There are some problems with the tenses you have used with your verbs. You've chosen the wrong tense for what you meant to say.	Poor (0-1) Many tense problems that confuse your message or are completely incorrect. See me prior to turning in the final product.
Conjugation & Agreement	Excellent (4-5) You have conjugated your verbs well both in form and agreement. There are few to no errors with your verbs.	Good to Fair (2-3) You have a few issues with conjugation either in form or agreement. Check the highlighting for the problematic areas.	Poor (0-1) You have many conjugation problems for one of the following reasons: -spelling -agreement
Accuracy	Excellent (4-5) There are few to no other accuracy errors in your writing. Very well done!	Good to Fair (2-3) There are several accuracy errors that you need to address, but they do not hinder your message.	Poor (0-1) There are many accuracy errors that hinder your message to the reader. See me for help or a peer you trust.
