Mask
Neatness
Exemplary
Great care has been taken to present a neat overall appearance. The colors on the mask are distinct and have not all run together.
Acceptable
The mask has some areas where more care should have been taken. Some of the colors may have run together.
Inadequate
The mask has a sloppy appearance. It does not convey that care has been taken to present a "neat" mask.
Creativity
Exemplary
Interesting materials and textures have been used in putting this mask together. The extra touches flow together nicely to present a "wow" mask.
Acceptable
The mask has some creative components but is mostly very plain.
Inadequate
The mask's creative components have a sloppy appearance. They do not appear to have been integrated into the mask. Instead, things seem to have been added for no apparent reason.
Overall portrayal of god/goddess
Exemplary
The mask portrays the god/goddess in a very neat, creative fashion.
Acceptable
The mask protrays the god/goddess in a fairly neat but plain fashion.
Inadequate
The mask has an overall appearance of being thrown together in a sloppy fashion.
Dramatic portrayal
Costume
Exemplary
It is evident that time and effort have gone into putting together a costume that reflects the character of the god/goddess being portrayed. The costume appears to be well thought out.
Acceptable
The costume is acceptable, but some elements do not seem to go with the character of the god/goddess being portrayed.
Inadequate
The costume has the appearance of being "thrown together." There really isn't anything about the costume that seems unique to the god/goddess being portrayed.
Voice quality
Exemplary
The actor/actress is easy to understand. The tempo is such that words to not become slurred together. Everything is well enunciated and articulated.
Acceptable
There are a few places where the speech becomes difficult to understand. There may be some places where speed is a problem.
Inadequate
Overall, the tempo of the speech and/or the loudness or softness of the voice makes it difficult to understand what is being said in the presentation.
Use of props
Exemplary
The use of props blended into the presentation seamlessly.
Acceptable
The props were present but were sometimes used in an awkward manner.
Inadequate
The props were not well-used and did not add to the overall quality of the presentation.
Content
Exemplary
The myth was portrayed very well. The presentation has been well-rehearsed so that the telling of the myth could be done in a fluid manner.
Acceptable
There were some places where the story was forgotten, or where the story didn't make sense.
Inadequate
It does not appear that much time was spent in preparing the myth to make it ready for the classroom presentation.
