Final Play Presentation Students will present a scene from a movie, play, or television show.
	Poor 7 pts	Fair 12 pts	Good 19 pts	Exceptional 25 pts
Content 25 pts 25%	Poor The text adaptation presents some inaccuracies in the dialogue or actions; they do not closely match the play. Paraphrases or omission of details change the meaning of the original play.	Fair The text adaptation accurately portrays the dialogue and actions from the play, but the presentation may be missing appropriate staging that maintains the original meaning of the play.	Good The text adaptation portrays the dialogue and actions from the play well. Accurate staging is evident. Both the dialogue and staging help in the overall understanding of the original play.	Exceptional The text adaptation proficiently portrays the dialogue and actions from the play. Very accurate staging is evident. Both the dialogue and staging enhance the overall understanding of the original play.
Performance 25 pts 25%	Poor Not all group members are involved in the performance. The performance is inaudible, confusing, incomplete and/or inappropriate. There seems to be no attempt at rehearsal. The performance does not accurately depict the play.	Fair All group members are included, but the performance may be confusing or incomplete. There appears to be an attempt at rehearsal. The performance depicts the play somewhat accurately.	Good The performance appears to be rehearsed and all group members are involved. The performance depicts the play accurately.	Exceptional The performance is evidently well-rehearsed and all group members are involved equally. The performance depicts the play proficiently.
Memorization 25 pts 25%	Poor Students did not fully memorize their scene. Either they did not memorize it or learned at least 50% of the script.	Fair Students memorized at least 60-80% of the scene. They were not fully memorized, but knew a good chunk of the script.	Good Students memorized between 80-95 % of the scene. The students are fairly comfortable with the script and were able to memorize a majority of the script.	Exceptional Students memorized between 95-100 percent of the scene. The students were comfortable with the script, knew all of their lines or may have missed one or two words.
Enthusiasm / Effort 25 pts 25%	Poor There was very little use of facial expressions or body language. Students did not generate much interest in the staging of the play presented in the audience. Students gave little or no thought to setting, music, costumes, make-up, and / or props.	Fair Facial expressions and body language at times generated interest and enthusiasm over the staging of the play in the audience. Students made acceptable use of setting, music, costumes, make-up, and / or props.	Good Facial expressions and body language generated interest and enthusiasm over the staging of the play in the audience. Students made good use of setting, music, costumes, make-up, and / or props.	Exceptional Facial expressions and body language generated a strong and sustained interest and enthusiasm over the staging of the play in the audience. Students made excellent use of setting, music, costumes, make-up, and / or props.
