Creativity/Grammar	Excellent Project is extremely creative. Student went above and beyond expectations. There are no misspellings nor any grammar mistakes.	Good Project is creative. Student put forth effort. There are 1-6 misspellings and/or grammar mistakes	Fair-Poor Project is somewhat creative. Student put minimal effort into the project. There are 6-14 misspellings and/or grammar mistakes.
Evidence	Excellent It is undoubtingly evident that the student read the book. Student included details including but not limited to: plot, setting, characters, themes, reflection, literary elements.	Good It is evident that the student read the book. Student included numerous details from the story.	Fair-Poor It is somewhat evident that the student has read the book. There are a few details from the story.
Directions	Excellent Student followed directions: project is typed (12pt font, double spaced, Times New Roman), length is appropriate.	Good Student followed directions: project is typed, length is appropriate.	Fair-Poor Student somewhat followed directions: paper is handwritten, length is somewhat appropriate.
Effectiveness	Excellent Student effectively communicated ideas using strong word choice, sentence structure, and voice.	Good Student attempted to include strong word choice, sentence structure, and voice.	Fair-Poor Student's ability to use strong word choice, sentence structure, and voice is weak.
