Civilizations Underwater After learning about the impact of floods throughout history, students will choose a specific flood in history and write about the cause, effect, and geographical location of that flood. They will compare it to the chosen floods of their classmates.

Research Students should research different floods throughout history, along with their cause and effect.	Below-Average Student did not complete research; Research was irrelevant to the topic.	Average Student completed some research but surface level, and some of it was irrelevant to the topic.	Excellent Student completed sufficient research.
Web Diagram An appropriate web diagram should include labeled boxes and the box in the middle should have the consequences written down.	Below-Average Did not complete web diagram.	Average Partially completed web diagram but failed to label properly.	Excellent Completed web diagram fully to the best of their ability and labeled everything properly.
Group Ethic Students should work together and cooperate in order to effectively complete the project on time, scoring an "Excellent" on the rubric.	Below-Average Did not participate at all in group and was off-topic.	Average Participated sometimes and made a few contributions; went off-topic every now and then but not the entire time.	Excellent Participated the entire time, made many contributions, was engaged and never off-topic.
