Content	Excellent Story has an obvious beginning, middle and end. It is an interesting story. Is cohesive and makes sense.	Good Story has a beginning, middle and end but some elements are not obvious. Has many interesting parts. Makes sense but important parts are missing.	Satisfactory Story has elements of beginning, middle and end but is definitely lacking structure. Has some interesting elements but is not cohesive, does not make sense, lot's missing.
Organization	Excellent Story is logical - events flow from one to the other. No distracting extras.	Good Story is mostly logical and flows somewhat but there are some distractors.	Satisfactory Story has many distractors. Is not logical and does not flow.
Sentence Structure	Excellent Sentences are well developed and complete. The sentences are varied and interesting. Paragraphs are obvious.	Good Most sentences are complete. Some variation but lacks development. Somewhat interesting but has some run-on sentences. Some paragraphs.	Satisfactory Little or no sentence structure, no variety. Mostly run-on sentences. No paragraphs.
