Grade 6 Poetry Rubric
Students will create a poetry book that will include 6 original poems: 1 Cinquain, 1 Concrete, 1 Diamonte, 1 Limerick, 1 Haiku and 1 Acrostic. At least one poem will be presented orally. Your poetry book must also include an introductory "Dear Reader" letter explaining why the student picked his/her theme and a graphic organizer on the project pros and cons. Students will also include an illustration that best represents the poetry book theme for the front cover.

A lot of time has been taken and the poem is beautifully presented. The poems are typed and the illustration really improves the presentation of the poem. Well organized poems with outstanding illustrated cover.
