Instruction & Concepts Level of understanding about instructions and concepts (elements and principles of art) used in project.	OUTSTANDING / GREAT FOCUS The artwork is planned carefully. Geometric shapes are carefully executed. Pattern is repetitive in color and shape. Pattern is symmetrical.Symbols in narrative are well done.	DETAILED / GOOD FOCUS The artwork is planned carefully. Understanding of a repetitive pattern in color and shape is evident with a few errors. Symmetry is used. Narrative is done well.	MET CRITERIA / ACCEPTABLE FOCUS The art work is planned adequately. The pattern has many errors. There is no symmetry.The student has drawn symbols in a haphazard manner.	LITTLE EFFORT / LITTLE FOCUS The artwork shows little evidence of understanding the concepts and instructions.
