The purpose of this exercise is to introduce you to different techniques used to enhance your pottery projects. Make eight tiles - six 3 inch tiles and two 5 inch tiles. Make tiles at least 3/8 inch thick but not more than 1/2 inch. The 5 inch tiles will be used for Resist and Sprig techniques. The other 6 tiles will have the following techniques: Relief, Sgraffito, Incising, Impression, Stamping, and Rouletting. All edges should be smooth, canvas texture should not be seen in tiles, name should be on bottom of tiles. Tiles should be precisely measured as stated above.
