Role of Shylock Essay 
Write a persuasive essay arguing Shakespeare's true purpose for the inclusion of Shylock's character in The Merchant of Venice. Does he mean for the audience to view Shylock as a villain who gets what he deserves, or a victim to be sympathized with?
