Ideas:	Not Yet Proficient The story is incomplete in many ways. It might have a central idea, but it lacks in plausibility in places or it needs to have more imaginative flourishes.	Proficient The story is very creative, original and plausible. Strong details/description help to support the plausibility.
Organization:	Not Yet Proficient There is no dialogue/incorrectly formatted dialogue and no adherence to the opening line. Additionally, it doesn't make sense because of lack of organization.	Proficient Organization is present and helps to clarify ideas. Dialogue is correct and balanced. It follow the guidelines set forth by the assignment.
Voice:	Not Yet Proficient The narration lacks in any kind of unique qualities; it is bland. It either doesn't imitate the style set by the author in the original or it doesn't take on a character of its own.	Proficient There is an unique voice leading the reader through the story. It takes on a personality of its own beyond simple narrating. It fits well with the tone and flavor of the original.
Word Choice:	Not Yet Proficient The author of this paper attempted to use a few vivid words to stretch his/her vocabulary, but some may have been misused or there were too few. It lacks strong descriptions and verbs.	Proficient A wide variety of vivid adjectives and adverbs, strong verbs, and integrated vocabulary make this paper very interesting to read and lend to the authority of the voice.
