Line	Good Demonstration of LINE as an individual Element of art is strong and clear, showing different line types and charateristics (weight, direction, style)	Fair Use of line shows some different line types and charateristics, but are limited	Poor Demonstration of line is minimal and shows no real variation in line types or characteristics.
Shape	Good Demonstration of SHAPE as an individual Element of art is strong and clear, showing both organic and geometric shapes, and defining both positive and negative space.	Fair Use of shape shows some understaning, but is limited in demonstration of shape types or space.	Poor Demonstration of shape is minimal and shows no real understanding of types or space.
Value	Good VALUE is demonstrated in a full spectrum of continuous Black to White. Student demonstrated using both gradients and various values to create movement and texture	Fair Use of value shows a full coninuous spectrum of black to white gradients, but doesn't demonstrate 'actual' values to create texture.	Poor There is no clear demonstration of a full black to white value spectrum.
Texture	Good Student used an accurate combination of line, shape and value to create believable textures whether real or implied.	Fair There is evidence of some texture but the elements of line, shape and value was not fully explored to create believable textures.	Poor Texture is never fully materialized in any portion of this assignment.
Color	Good Whether using 'real' colors or intentional color schemes, a clear understanding is evident of color theory, blending and how colors work together for emphasis.	Fair The student demonstrated a clear understand of color theory, but colors are not blended well.	Poor There is no really evidence of understanding of color theory. Colors are flat and/or do not work together for harmony or emphasis.
Organization/Creativity	Good All the elements are demonstrated CLEARLY and in an organized yet creative manner.	Fair All the elements are demonstrated, but some not as clearly as other. The design is organized, but not very creative.	Poor Most elements are not clearly demonstrated, and there appears to be no organization to the design.
