Chapter Exercises for Medical Terminology
Each week the student will have chapter exercises to complete. All chapters will have exercises in which the student must analyze and define medical terms that are new. Specific instructions to analyze and define a word are on pages 9 - 11 of your Exploring Medical Language textbook. The rubric below will list the points given and the criteria which the student will be graded.

Each term defined is defined correctly with all prefixes, word roots and suffixes used as part of the definition:
EXAMPLE:
osteoarthritis=inflammation of the bone and joint

Exercises assigned are incomplete. > 5 terms are misspelled. > 5
analyzed terms are not divided. > 5 terms are not defined.
> 5 multiple choice, short answer and matching exercises are incomplete.
Word Document is submitted to proper link in assignment for grading no > 3 days late.
Fair
Exercises assigned are complete with < 5 misspellings. Terms are analyzed and defined correctly with < 5 errors.
Multiple choice, short answer and matching exercises are complete.

All exercises assigned are correct and complete. Terms are spelled correctly. Terms are analyzed AND defined where needed. Multiple choice, short answer and matching exercises are complete.
