Pre-splicing Prep 20 % Enter criteria description	Poor Students splice enclosure and slack has major faults (not enough slack loop- not dressed in splice tray. incorrect color code	Fair Students have minor errors in routing fiber and neatness in splice tray	Good Splice tray meets criteria for slack and is neatly dressed in the splicing tray.
Mechanical Splicing 20 % Enter criteria description	Poor Student cannot perform mechanical splice has more than 2 major faults in procedure	Fair Student has 1 major fault in procedure	Good Student performed splice with no errors
Testing 20 %	Poor Student could not perform test on repaired fiber.	Fair Student performed proper test, could not determine if splice meets standards for HC and/or fiber fails test- readings will be compared to testing lab results per strand	Good Student performed proper test, Splice is verified to meet standards and strand passes standard test for HC-readings will be compared to testing lab results per strand
