Content	Excellent Essay answers cover the entire topic with excellent depth & scope.	Good Essay answers cover most of the topic with average depth & scope.	Fair Essay answers cover part of the topic with little depth & scope.
Writing	Excellent Clearly addresses all parts of the writing task.	Good Addresses all parts of the writing task.	Fair Addresses only parts of the writing task.
Flow	Excellent Enjoyable to read. Shows understanding of the concept of diction. Ideas flow smoothly and language is mature.	Good Essay is easy to read and flows well. Words are used correctly and language is age-appropriate	Fair Essay is readable but is choppy at places. Some words are misused and language is somewhat immature.
