GRADE 8 INTERACTIVE HISTORY NOTEBOOK RUBRIC 
This rubric will be used to assess your History Interactive Notebook. Your notebook will be collected periodically during the school year and scored according to the following 3 criteria. NOTE: You are required to attend the next Academic Wednesday following this assessment as indicated on your score.

The student has made an attempt to do the assignments, but the work is not complete and includes inaccurate information.

Although there is evidence of work being done, the Notebook does not have all required items.
Neatness/Ogranization

Meets Expectations

The Notebook is neat and clearly labeled with all assignments in place. The student spent extra time making the Notebook a very useful study aid.
Approaching Expectations

The Notebook work is clear and organized enough for the student to identify each assignment and notes included for use as a study aid.
Below Expectations

Labels are minimal. The student could identify items for review, however student will have difficulty identifying items when studying.

The Notebook is sloppy. There is little/no labeling of assignments. The student will have great difficulty identifying items when studying.

Notebook was turned in and completed on time. The assignments were complete and accurate showing considerable effort.

Notebook was turned in and completed on time. The notebook assignments show clear effort.
Below Expectations

Notebook was turned in on time, however very vague with little effort put into having accurate information.
