* Does not use any offensive strategy in game play.

* Only occasionally uses offensive strategies and then sometimes only seemingly accidentally.

* Uses some offensive strategies (i.e. give and go, lead pass, etc.) in appropriate situations.
Advanced
* Uses a variety of offensive strategies in appropriate situations.
* Can apply tactics in a game to put the opposition under pressure.
Defense
Beginning
* Is often caught out of position on defense (either standing at goal line or in front of the mid-fielders or on opponent's side of field).
Developing
* Is sometimes caught out of position on defense, but is usually close enough to recover and help.
Right on Track
* Often Maintains appropriate defensive position most of the time and tries to prevent the opposition from getting good chances on scoring a goal.
Advanced
* Always in appropriate defensive position (i.e. moving with the play rather than standing by the goal) and prevents the opposition from having good chances on scoring a goal.
