Vivid Verbs Masterpiece Students will write a song, rap, poem, or short story.
	Poor 2 pts	Fair 3 pts	Good 3.5 pts	Great 4 pts
Identifying vivid verbs Students utilize at least 5 vivid verbs in a written composition.	Poor Students include less than 2 vivid verbs in a song, rap, poem or short story.	Fair Students include at least 2-3 vivid verbs in a song, rap, poem or short story.	Good Students include at least 4 vivid verbs in a song, rap, poem or short story.	Great Students include 5 or more vivid verbs in a song, rap, poem or short story.
Verb Tenses Students use appropriate endings to reflect the three verb tenses.	Poor Students do not demonstrate awareness of verb tenses in their writing	Fair Students write verbs correctly in 1 tense.	Good Students write verbs correctly in 2 tenses.	Great Students write verbs correctly in the three verb tenses.
Pronoun-Verb Agreement When appropriate, students utilize appropriate pronoun-verb agreement consistently throughout their piece.	Poor When appropriate, students do not utilize appropriate pronoun-verb agreement consistently throughout their piece, with more than 5 errors.	Fair When appropriate, students utilize appropriate pronoun-verb agreement most of the time consistently throughout their piece, with 3-5 errors.	Good When appropriate, students utilize appropriate pronoun-verb agreement most of the time consistently throughout their piece, with only 1-2 errors.
