Student shows some understanding of the mathematical concepts.	2 Appropriate content may be used. Student shows little understanding of the mathematical concepts.	Unsatisfactory Appropriate content is not observed. Student does not demonstrate an understanding of the mathematical concepts.
Organization	4 The problem is written in clear and coherent language.	3 The problem is written in clear and coherent language.	2 The problem is not written in clear and coherent language.	Unsatisfactory The problem is not written in clear and coherent language, or may not be observed.
Solution	4 Illustration, graph, full math sentences, explanation of work, verification of solution.	3 Illustration, graph, full math sentences, explanation of work.	2 Has illustration, graph (if necessary, and full math sentences. All mathematics correct.	Unsatisfactory Only has an illustration and some work. Some mathematics may not be correct.
