Durability	Poor Model is broken, or falls apart when touched.	Fair Model has loose parts that will easily fall off.	Good Model is durable, but will fall apart or break if mishandled at all.	Excellent Model is very durable and will last for an extended time.
Materials	Poor Do not resemble parts of the cell at all. Similar materials used for all organelles.	Fair Do not clearly resemble organelles. Similar materials used for some organelles.	Good Materials resemble organelles, but not obvious without labels.	Excellent All materials used resemble organelles of the cell. Variety of materials used.Even without labels they are obvious what organelles they represent.
Organelles	Poor Less than 4 organelles present.	Fair 4-5 organelles present.	Good 6-7 organelles present.	Excellent 8 organelles present.

Good Model is fairly original and represents the cell accurately, but does not set itself apart from others.	Excellent Model is original and unique. It illustrates the cell and also the student's creativity.
