Career Exploration PowerPoint Presentation Career Exploration PowerPoint Presentation Directions: Create and present a PowerPoint presentation based upon your Career Research. Information	Poor Five or fewer of listed topics are discussed.	Fair Only six to seven of the listed topics are discussed.	Good Only eight to nine of the listed topics are discussed.	Exemplary Covered all of the listed topics.
Accuracy	Poor Little of the information is correct. It appears as though the information was made up.	Fair Some of the information is correct, but some is simply and obviously untrue.	Good Most of the information is correct. There may be one or two questionable items	Exemplary All information is correct.
Clarity/neatness	Poor The PowerPoint has a lot of writng, is very confusing and difficult to follow. It is not eye-catching.	Fair The PowerPoint may or may not be eye-catching and is difficult to follow.	Good The information is fairly clear and well organized, although the Power Point may not be particularly interesting. The PowerPoint may be eye-catching but somewhat hard to follow.	Exemplary Information is completely clear and well-organized. The Power Point is eye-catching with minimal words.
Quality of Slides	Poor Three or less of the slides include little creativity and/or the slides are difficult to read.	Fair Only five to four of the slides are creatively designed using color and animation and are easy to read.	Good Only seven to eight of the slides are creatively designed using color and animation and are easy to read.	Exemplary All slides are creatively designed using color and animation. They are easy to read.
Grammar/Spelling	Poor There are many verb form and/or other errors making much of this PowerPoint incomprehensible.	Fair There may be several verb form errors and/or many minor errors. Some of these errors cause difficulty in comprehension of the material.	Good Grammar/spelling is extremely good. There may be one or two minor verb form errors and one or two other minor errors. None of these errors hinder comprehension of the material.	Exemplary Grammar/ spelling is basically totally correct. One or two minor errors are permissible such as gender, minor spelling errors.
Effectiveness of Presentat	Poor Not prepared to present.	Fair Slides were vague and brief concerning the subject.	Good Seemed prepared; however, was sometimes vague on the details.	Exemplary Clearly prepared and thoroughly covered each slide, leaving the class with a clear understanding of the career.
Citations	Poor See Exemplary Box	Fair See Exemplary Box	Good See Exemplary Box	Exemplary Students need only list the websites from which they took information. This should be done on the bibliography slide of the PowerPoint.
Background & Graphics	Poor Background makes it difficult to see text or competes with other graphics on the page.	Fair Background does not detract from text or other graphics. Background does not include graphics.	Good Background does not detract from text or other graphics. Choice of background and/or graphics could have been better suited for the project.	Exemplary Background does not detract from text or other graphics. Choice of background & graphics are representative of this presenter.
Animation/Transition	Poor The presentation contains very few animations or slide transitions.	Fair The presentation does not contain animations and slide transitions with every slide. Some animations and/or transitions detract from the presentaton or subject matter.	Good The presentation contains animations and slide transitions with every slide and they fit the subject matter.	Exemplary The presentation contains enough animations and slide transitions to make the presentation interesting and fun to watch.
Eye Contact	Poor Student reads all of report with no eye contact.	Fair Student occasionally uses eye contact, but still reads most of report.	Good Student maintains eye contact most of the time but frequently returns to notes/report.	Exemplary Student maintains eye contact with audience, seldom returning to notes.
