Language Arts Class Participation Grade Criteria
Below is a chart that shows you exactly how your class participation grade will be evaluated. All students are expected to participate in class especially in the target language! Students should understand that their participation mark begins at 0 and then is built up through active participation.

Student is always prepared for class with materials such as a notebook, writing tools and submits required assignments punctually. Student takes notes without being prompted .

Student is usually prepared for class with assignments and required materials such as a notebook, writing tools, sometimes submitting some assignments late. Student may need to be prompted to take notes.

Student is often unprepared for class with assignments and/or required materials such as a notebook, writing tools , often submitting assignments late. Often, student needs to be prompted to take notes and file them properly.

Student always presents a positive attitude towards the class, their fellow students, and their teacher. Never complains, always willing to try.

Student usually presents a positive attitude towards the class, their fellow students, and their teacher. A little complaining, usually willing to try.
Fair
FAIR<BR>
Student sometimes presents a positive attitude towards the class, their fellow students, and their teacher. Much complaining and balking at new assignments or tasks.
Poor
POOR<BR>
Student rarely presents a positive attitude towards the class, their fellow students, or their teacher.
Refusal to comply; complains at everything.

Student always behaves appropriately with other students and teacher, both inside and outside the classroom. Student exhibits excellent self control at all times.
