Interpretation and Presentation Student understands what is being asked in a problem solving situation, presents the question well and chooses the correct strategy to solve the problem	Applying Interprets and presents problem correctly	Practicing Interprets problem correctly, but struggles with presentation	Needs Instruction Misinterprets problem and/or requires support while presenting the problem
Representation Student is able to represent on paper the thinking and strategy used to solve the problem	Applying Represents thinking and at least one strategy used in a clear and organized way including labels	Practicing Represents some thinking, but strategy is not present, nclear, disorganized, or incomplete	Needs Instruction Does not represent a strategy or representation does not match the actual strategy used to solve the problem
Solution Student is able to arrive at the correct solution and answer the question asked	Applying Solves problem accurately, shows work and labels answer clearly	Practicing Solves problem accurately but answer is not labeled and/or shows minor computation error	Needs Instruction Solution is inaccurate and/or unclear
