KNIA 213- Listening and Speaking Fall 2012 ESIA 213- Intercollegiate Volleyball-Thinking and Reasoning Students will perform as team members of an intercollegiate Volleyball program, actively listening to instruction while analyzing offensive and defensive schemes. Women's Volleyball 20 % Students will perform as team members of an intercollegiate Volleyball program, actively listening to instruction while analyzing offensive and defensive schemes. Listening Skills 5 pts Overall Listening Skills as a Team Member	Poor Fair Listens to, shares with, and supports the efforts of other team members, but, sometimes is not a good team member.	Good Good Usually listens to, shares, with, and supports the efforts of others. Focuses on the teams needs.	Excellent Excellent Always listens to, shares with, and supports the efforts of others. Keeps team mebers working well together through personal example and leadership.
Critical Thinking 5 pts Students will think logically in solving the problems associated with Team offense and defense	Poor Poor - Problem solving is not logical - conclusions not explained or demstrated during practice/games	Good Good - Problem solving is logical - conclusions are explained and demonstrated during practice/games with minor shortcomings	Excellent Excellent -Problem solving is very logical -Conclusions are well explained and demonstrated during practice/games with no shortcomings
Speaking Skills 5 pts Students will speak in an organized fashion to explain their ideas, express their feelings, or support a conclusion.	Poor Poor - speaks in an un organized fashion to explain their ideas which had a significant effect on the Team	Good Good -good speaking skills with minor limitations - Speaking skills had a positive influence on the Team	Excellent Excellent - Outstanding speaking skills - Speaking enhanced the Team concept during the season
Creative Thinking 5 pts Students will develop the skills to formulate original ideas and concepts	Poor Poor - Insignificant references of original ideas and concepts during the season	Good Good - Significant references of original ideas and concepts during the season.	Excellent Excellent - Outstanding references of original ideas and concepts during the season. References enhanced the Team performance.
