Readers Theater

Script Format	Excellent The entire play is done neatly and without any formatting issues for the character name, dialogue, and stage directions.	Good Only a couple of formatting issues were apparent, 2-3, in the context of the play.	Fair Students were not consistent with the rules of dialogue, character names, and stage directions.	Poor Students did not follow the rules of dialogue, stage directions, and character names in the format of the play.
Script Development	Excellent The script is interesting, clear, and easy to follow. Students translated the entire text into appropriate Reader's Theater format.	Good The script is interesting, clear, and easy to follow. Students translated a majority of the text into appropriate Reader's Theater format. A few insignificant sections were not correctly re-written.	Fair Students translated a small portion of the text into Reader's Theater format. Too often the text was not re-written to fit script format. The script is sloppy or difficult to follow.	Poor Students did not translate the text into Reader's Theater format. The script is not legible or easy to follow. It is hard for the audience to follow the topic.
Language	Excellent There are no errors in grammar or spelling that distract the reader from the content.	Good There 1-2 errors in grammar or spelling that distract the reader from the content.	Fair There 3-4 errors in grammar or spelling that distract the reader from the content.	Poor There more than 4 errors in grammar or spelling that distract the reader from the content.
Materials and preparation	Excellent Students brought in an adequate number of highlighted scripts.	Good Students had an adequate number of scripts, but the scripts weren't highlighted.	Fair Students had an inadequate number of scripts.	Poor Students did not have scripts.
