Letter to a Character Letter to a Character Students write a letter to Zinnia from the story "Zinnia and Dot." They will create another possible problem that could possibly happen to Zinnia and Dot in the future. Students can write a possible solution as to how they can cooperate to solve another problem. Conventions	Poor No consistent use of capital letters or punctuation.	Fair Letter is legible with limited amount of punctuation and capital letters.	Good Capital letters and punctuation are used throughout letter.	Excellent Superior use of punctuation.
Content	Poor No attempt to follow R.A.F.T.	Fair Letter includes either a problem or the solution, bot not both.	Good Letter includes both a possible problem and a solution, but could have used more details.	Excellent Letter poses a future problem and solution noting how characters can cooperate in a detailed manner.
