Using ATI Real Life Scenarios, student will navigate through the program by closely observing the scenario, make decisions along the way based on nursing knowledge and theory, and emerge with the best outcome for the patient.

Without prompting, student recognizes and discusses how they made errors in their choices. They are correct except for one case.
Proficient

Without prompting, student recognizes and discusses how they made errors in their choices. They are correct in all cases.
Debriefing

Student must be engaged in debriefing in order to maximize experience.

Unsatisfactory

Student is distracted and wants to rush debriefing. Does not wish to discuss case or choices made. Shows no desire to learn from the experience.
Poor

Student appears distracted and in a hurry to leave debriefing. Prompting required to discuss the case and choices made. Does not appear to want to learn from the experience.
Acceptable

Student is engaged in debriefing but only discusses mistakes; requires prompting to discuss the case. In a bit of a rush but seems to want to learn.
Proficient

Student is fully engaged in debriefing, discusses the case and choices they made without prompting, in no rush to finish. Desire to learn from experience.
