Writing a Children's Book 
Write a picture book for young children. Use language and include images appropriate for young readers. Your story should be at least ten pages long and have writing on each page. Each page should have a picture that relates to your story.

Illustrations with color and details are present and the plot is connected to all the written pages. Details are extreme and great care went into each picture. Evidence of extra effort, time, and planning put into the story illustrations.
Average Effort

Editing and Publishing

Creative ideas and neatness are present throughout with text and illustrations. Book is bound together appropriately and neatly.

Excellent Effort

Project is creative, well-planned and unique. Neatness is present. Publishing technique chosen shows time and effort. It is obvious that the student did not rush.
Average Effort

Neatness is present, but student was capable of more creative work. Publishing technique chosen shows an average amount of effort.
Below Average Effort

Project has pencil marks and eraser marks throughout. Little time or effort seemed to be put forth. Publishing technique shows little effort
Poor Effort

The project is sloppy and incomplete. Publishing technique shows no care or effort, or no publishing technique used. Story is still in paragraph form.
