	Beginning 1 pts	Progressing 2 pts	Achieved 3 pts
Represents the wheels	Beginning Does not use the manipulative to help solve the problem.	Progressing Uses the manipulative to help solve the problem, but not necessarily in the correct way.	Achieved Represents their understanding of the task by using the manipulative correctly.
Uses the strategy of skip counting	Beginning There is little or no evidence of a strategy being used.	Progressing There is some evidence of a strategy being used.(not the correct skip counting pattern)	Achieved There is evidence of counting by 3's. (drawings or counting by 3's)
Uses words & Math Lang.	Beginning No Math talk or very little.	Progressing There is some math talk but it does not accurately explain the answer.	Achieved Math talk is clear and concise and contains math vocab. that demonstrates understanding of the task.
